Linkin Park have a new CD out called 'Minutes to Midnight.'
I wrote a review after downloading it to be posted in the thread for it on iPGN, but due to the fact that it doesn't come out for another 4 days or so, and iPGN frowns on illegal downloads, I'll post it here instead! Enjoy!

Ok, luckily I have a portal to America, so I stepped through and grabbed me a copy of this CD (it's also a portal to the future, if anyone's going to question me on that). I thought I'd give you a rundown of my thoughts as I listen to the first time.
Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight
Track 1 - Wake: Annoying scratchy sounds in intro song doesn't do it justice. Nothing overly good from this. Almost all bands are doing intros like this now, and the Reanimation one was far better than this.
Track 2 - Given Up: Hahaha, Linkin Park is finished. This is the worst LP song ever, by far. And what the?! Did he just say the F word? I could have sworn LP didn't swear in their previous albums... now it just seems tacky, since they managed to make albums without it.
Track 3 - Leave Out All The Rest: Started off okay, reminded me of My December, and I like my slow depressing songs. Unfortunately after about 40 second or so it goes downhill and never gets good again. Better than 2, but still pretty bad.
Track 4 - Bleed It Out: What the hell!? Hahah, LP has been listening to some Andrew HK it seems (the chorus, not the verses. YOU'LL see...). Only he does it far better. It was at this point that I thought I'd BOUGHT the wrong CD. I actually had to check Wiki to make sure the tracks had the same names. Indeed they do. I can't imagine any LP fans being happy when they hear this song.
Track 5 - Shadow of the Day: Okay I suppose. Slow, and doesn't seem to know if it wants to be emo or uplifting, but I've heard far worse already from this album. The ending has nice stereo effects which screwed with my head a bit while wearing headphones.
Track 6 - What I've Done: Maybe they created all the songs prior to this to make this one seem far better than it is, because now this song rocks (in comparison). In all fairness I kind of liked this song after listening to it a few times, but I still don't think it's anything too amazing. At least it's closer to their old stuff than what I've heard on their CD so far.
Track 7 - Hands Held High: More swearing! LP is an angry band now! I'm now convinced LP doesn't know what it's doing. Now it's trying to be Eminem. This song is okay though, I suppose. Certainly not what anyone buying a LP CD is going to expect though.
Track 8 - No More Sorrow: Pretty bad. That's pretty much all I can say. It's a lot more like old LP than most other stuff, but it's still... yeah... pretty bad. People who love LP might like it though, unlikely half the other crap on this CD so far.
Track 9 - Valentine's Day: Another slowish one. It has more direction, and a better overall feel to it than any of the other songs. It's another one that reminds me a bit of My December. It's probably the best song on the album. People who liked the last CD should definately like this song. So far it's the album's saving grace. Although having said that, it's not overwhelmingly great either. It'd me mediocre if it were on one of their previous CDs.
Track 10 - In Between: Wow, another slow one... I think this is entirely sung by Mike Shinoda (as a couple of songs are) which makes it interesting. It's 4.40am though, and this song is putting me to sleep. The song is okay though.
Track 11 - In Pieces: Ooh a guitar solo. Apart from that, the song is so-so. I think I'm getting what Linkin Park is trying to do now. Going really raw and trying something different towards that area. It hasn't worked though. Then again, anything's probably better than teaming with Jay-Z again.
Track 12 - The Little Things You Give Away: We get to see the result of LP trying to stretch a song out past their usual 3 minutes mark. I usually really like long songs, but I've never heard a longer song than this, and it's only 6 minutes. Just seems to drag on forever.
Tracks 13, and 14 - Oh that's right, these songs are iTunes exclusive. So if you buy the CD, too bad, you wont get the TITLE TRACK which is Track 14 (obviously titled, Minutes to Midnight).
So in closing, this is one of the biggest falls from grace I've seen since [Hed] P.E.'s album AFTER Blackout. Yeah... you know the one. I've never cried as hard as I did when my friend spent money on that and we listened to it on the way home.
While this CD is anywhere near as bad as that one, it's still terrible considering that I used to really enjoy LP. I always regarded them as decent, even though I havent thought they were overly spectacular for quite some time, but this CD makes me doubt even that. It's amateur hour at LP, and they seem to have unlearnt everything they've gained in their several years and gone back to creating a terrible CD of garage band like quality.
I wouldn't mind reading some write-ups from hardcore LP fans. Maybe they'll see something great in all this that I just couldn't see myself.
As for me, I've just gone back into WinAmp to change songs from what it was on, and after flicking through them realised there is not a SINGLE one that I want to listen to again. Oh dear...
Anyway, that's it for me. Hope you enjoyed.
Oh, and I give this CD 1/5
