Ok, this is ridiculous.
The easiest way to make people rack of posts and to continue long and successful... er... times here at these forums is to have threads go for as long as possible. Here's what's happening:
Someone: "Something something."
Someone #2 : "Something unrelated."
Brenton: "LOCKED!!!"
And now I'm thinking "hey, I sure would have liked to respond to that thing that someone #2 said... but now it's locked so I cant... but I cant really make a whole thread for it... so I guess I'll just leave it."
And so I log out of the forums, disinterested. And eventually, when Brenton locks all the threads there's nothing I have to reply to. And so I don't post. And until someone has something new to say, nothing gets posted... and the forums plunge into a dark turmoil of nothingness.
And this is all your doing Brenton.
You absolute punce.

You want to discuss my locking of threads? Ok.
I lock threads when they have strayed off topic and the thread serves no further purpose. If a thread strays off topic but the discussion is still good and there is no further talk to be had on the original topic, then I leave it. But if that second topic leads to an arguement then it warrants locking. Its said in the forum rules that you guys arent to squabble amongst yourselves here, thats what msn is for. The thread in question here is the Hard drive one. There was no further talk of hard drives, but we were then talking about cars or something. That was fine cause Acid had finished the talk about hard drives, so i let it go. However there was then an arguement between you and josh. Ask any of the other members and they'll tell you that I lock threads once arguements start. I dont see a problem with this, and no one else seems to either, except you, and you jsut wanted to continue so you could argue with josh. His msn is available in his forum profile, add him and continue your discussion there, dont bother the rest of us with it.
And also, though you imply that i lock every thread in sight, i lock maybe 1 thread a month, thats it. If you dont like it, then go back to your anti-brenton forum. I dont care really.

Well that's fine then. I didn't realise you locked threads when arguments started. If you leave threads that stray off topic but lock them to avoid arguments I can see a lot more reason in what you're doing and have a lot less against it.
Also, for your information, I wasn't going to argue with Josh. I was actually about to agree with him.

Well he said I had no idea. And i assumed he was talking about what I knew about him. And I don't know anything about him, just how he acts on TS and these forums (although he's a lot more pleasant on TS) and that's why I didn't write "the kind of person you are." I wrote "the kind of person you appear to be."
I was simply agreeing that using these forums as a guide one can not know all there is to a person. Who knows, maybe Canadian isn't a crazy retard after all.

Just do it, really, it might start off small but it could either grow bigger or lead into other interesting conversations..
....And it makes it look like we have lots more activity =D
