From wow general forums if u didnt see it, this guy got owned as hard as its possible to get owned, if its true that is
My girlfriend was telling me that I should relate our story on these forums so you all can get a good laugh.
A year ago, the Thorium Brotherhood server launched. I rolled a character and ended up in a guild called Forge. We levelled up together, and raided many server firsts. Even after I left the server they continued with a great deal of success.
Among the members of the guild were a married couple, Faite and Briare, a Warrior and Paladin. They levelled together and didnt really associate with the other guildmembers. Briare (the wife) was the only one who talked on Ventrilo, etc. Our guildleader knew them from a previous server.
One night in Upper Blackrock Spire, when the rest of the server was still doing Scarlet Monastery, we were killing Drak. Of course the Deflector dropped, as it always seems to. No one was really that excited as we all had 60s on other servers, so it wasnt like we didnt know that thing always dropped. Well, Faite, the husband, was a Fury warrior. We had a guy named Zyn, a dwarf, as our main tank. I was in charge of loot at the time as we didnt have a point system set up yet. I gave the shield to our main tank instead of the fury warrior who was "considering going prot". I told him just to hold his horses we'd get him one in a couple hours if he really wanted one.
He wasnt happy with that. He fired off the /gquit and threw a huge fit. Well anyway he eventually pressured his wife to quit the guild. His wife was an officer and a great person.
We got to talking and she eventually came back to the guild.... not long after that we were talking on the phone.
I found out she was very unhappy with her marriage and that she wanted to leave her husband. I encouraged her to leave her husband because it seemed she had a family that would help her out. She left her husband, not long after that, we met in real life. I flew out to where she lived and visited for a few days. We meshed really well. I decided that since I had nothing going where I was at, that I'd move down there. She encouraged me to get a job where she worked and we soon moved in together.
We've been living together for over 6 months and things are wonderful.
Just thought I'd let you guys know that the next time you whine about not getting some loot, think about the warrior Faite, and how his complaining about a Draconian Deflector lost him his wife to a guildmate.
