This is pretty cool. Some guy got a program used to manipulate the characters of HL2 and basicly makes them do whatever he wants. The results are pretty good. It is a 75 meg download, but its pretty damn good. Think: Half-Life 2 music video. Set to a pretty good song. www.machinima.org/paul_blog/breen/StillSeeingBreen-v1.1-HQ.wmvEDIT: Oh btw, some HL2 spoilers are in it for those who havent finished it yet.

Has anyone not finished it? Apparantly so. There was a thread on iPGN and it lead to ppl talking about the ending of HL2 and a couple of whingers jsut started whinging that no spoiler tag had been put on the topic. Now I know none of you are big whingers (Well, except Genesis ;D) but i just put it there for good measure.

i havnt finished it...but i dont care....the ending of every movie ever or game ever ends with the main character winning by either sacrificing themself or some heroic deed...everythin is so predictable....just a matter of enjoying the story line...

ITs not a movie like that. Think of something you might see on Video Hits or Rage.
OR are you talkin about the game here?

You've obviously never played Dream Web? You single handedly save the world from an evil supernatural cult. And you're feeling on top of the world! Then you walk out of the building to be met by a hail of bullets from two dozen cops who think you've just been on a random killing spree.... The credits start rolling and I'm like: WTF?? What kind of an ending is that??

will as soon as uncapped...yeah i think u misunderstood me a bit brenton...i meant about finishing hl2 and the spoilers.... lol shadow...see wat i mean..u didnt get the finish i mentioned and u were all like wtf...people want the ending that i said...they want to be satisfied that the main character heroicly carried out there goal and if in the end died for the cause the audience(percentage of) feels proud of the character and sorry for the people he/she left behind...

Bah, we have enough ego-stroking story endings out there. Ego-stroking is good and all, it makes the player feel powerul for a time, but having a different sort of ending isnt necessrily a bad thing. It can make it more interesting, or more memorable.

I know you're talking about games, Acid, but 2 of my favorite movies are Usual Suspects and Swordfish. In those the "bad guy" gets way. Although in Usual Suspects there really is no "good guy" and in Swordfish the "bad guy" isn't so bad.
