What does everyone reckon about Oblivion? I reckon Oblivion is great. Are we all glad we have Oblivion? I pity the fool who doesnt have Oblivion.

Its not stopping me playing it. Maybe shay, who refuses to play a game because he lost 1 day of saves.

Hah, they mention the quest "when spirits have lease" there and thats exactly where mine fucked up. Me too. But I have since redone that quest and it's fine. I also have a batch file now that backs up all my Oblivion saves, and moves all the previously backed up saves into an Older Oblivion Saves Backup folder. Two levels of fault tolerance. The key is mainly to try and save outdoors and to not try and accept too many missions at once, especially if they overlap.

Agreed. Although Bethesda said you'll probably have to reinstall the game for the patch...

Just the AMD ppl though. Never crashes on Intel.

There might be some truth behind that, as a flatmate here has a sweet p4 system and it has only crashed a handful of times since he's started playing it. However mine crashes a handful of times per area and i have amd...
Maybe bethesda only beta tested it on Pentiums...
Just a thought, is the xbox360 intel? because that would explain a lot.

I can safely say that Oblivion rarely crashes on my compter. It does happen, but very rarely. Like once every 3 days or something.

Oblivion crashes EVERY time I play Oblivion.
Fortunately, that time happens to be after I click "Exit Game." When I do, it always comes up with an error.
Apart from that, Oblivion has never crashed for me. Never in game. Of course that means little when save games corrupt.
Anyway, pretty sure Oblivion was tested on AMDs. Saw the test situations on the Elder Scroll forums somewhere, and pretty sure they were 4000+s or 3800+s or something with a + on the end.

lol you fools.. its probably video / driver error that is causing crashes. and there is no way that they didnt test this on amd systems.. majority of gamers use amd cpus in their systems.. i really do hope you guys are just mucking around like i think you are

Everything I've said is true... but like I said, it only quits out (although 100% of the time) when I quit Oblivion... which, if anything, just makes it faster and more convenient. It's only crashed once... maybe twice... since i started playing.
And Alan, you have to be the only Intel fanboy I've ever met.

Actually because some people believe things that Chip says to resemble truth and are sucked into a world of fantasy and foolishness.

You're right. Everyone who has an AMD chip (therefore having a similar chip for a fraction of the price) is listening to Chip.

That was probably too many 'chip's in the one sentence to be handled by mere mortals.
