Awesome. It remembered me from the footy tipping I used to do... the last one being at least 3 years ago.

Something occurs.
The person in charge of the comp in OzTips can see everyones tips (and change them... but it's doubtful anyone would try that) and we have Brenton in charge. I'm certain it'll be last round, Brenton ahead by 1 over say... Alan... and he could just go in and look at Alan's tips and choose all the same tips as him, or if losing make sure he doesn't tip the same.
I don't trust Brenton at all. If he wins, I demand his score is discarded and the winner becomes the next in line. Only upon failure may Brenton's score be included.

Besides, im not gonna win. alan beat me last year and he'll probably beat me again this year.

Not know that I've given away that little tip...
... although I don't believe you for a second. As if you wouldn't have realised in a whole footy season that you could do that. It's painfully obvious.
I'm sure you're just 'finding it' for the first time now to cover the shame of using that technique last year and still being beaten.

Err, this is teh first time i've ever actually run an oztips comp, so i cant see how i would have used this last year... and no, i rpobably wouldnt have noticed it, its not that obvious.

haha.. i have a feeling ill be coming last in this competition.. i dont pay enough attention to teams other than the kangaroos

Post by Scruffy Dog on Mar 21, 2006 12:14:40 GMT 10
Well at least you'll get one game right every week. I assume you'll tip the Kangaroos to lose each round, right?

umm of course not.. i never tip against the roos.. best team ever i know alan will back me up

|
Post by Scruffy Dog on Mar 21, 2006 13:10:22 GMT 10
I'm suire Alan wouldn't be foolish enough to tip the Roos every round. The key is to tip against your own team every week, unless you're certain they'll win. Doing that makes it win/win.
Either your team wins, or you get a tip. Happy either way.
Better than having your team lose and losing the tip all in one.

I do unless we're playing WC in Perth otherwise last year we could pretty much win every match.

Nooo Nevyn! I forgot to tip this week!!! There goes my lead!!!
Although I already forgot to tip in like the 3rd week, and still am winning. But noooo. Omg, it means I tipped Essendon over Adelaide and Brisband over the Pies?!!?
At least I wouldn't have tipped Geelong...
*checks*
I can still maybe get 4 or 5, so I should still be beating Brenton... thats all that matters.

Bahaha, after going "I'll just stop playing so you'll beat no one" in the most cowardly unsportmanslike action I've ever seen to avoid losing to me, Brenton came back and with only a limitted number of weeks remaining in the tipping... pulled out to 2 tips ahead! But this week, I got 6 tips vs 4, putting the score back to even despite the two rounds I missed out on! What have I done by not being in a paying comp this year? I would have cleaned house (assuming putting money in would have forced me to remember to tip). I should have around 5 tips more than I do, I worked out at one stage from the weeks I missed
