Argh, this shithouse old laptop!
I'm using the family laptop, which is extremely old... Pentium... 200 or something. It's running 98SE, and when I try to go into a thread on these forums that I've already been to it loads it up the way it was the first time, without the latest replies.
I know this is a Cookies thing, but I dont want to turn off all cookies. That'll be equally annoying, have to log back in to things repeatedly.
Besides, if I try to turn cookies off, IE locks up. In fact, if I try to do ANYTHING with the IE settings, it locks up.
This is a fresh format too, so oh dear does this PC have problems.
Anyway, now I can't even log in cause after logging in it loads the index as it was when I wasnt logged in, and stays that way. The worst.
Dont know what Im asking really. More of a general complaint about this PC. Any ideas, I guess? Apart from throwing it out the window or getting onto my normal PC?

(Yes Josh, I did mean to modify the last post but obviously it's impossible so I'll have to post twice ) How did me changing the 'Check for newer versions of stored pages' to 'everytime' NOT fix this?! Also, it's set now to not accept cookies and I've cleared the history. NOTHING helps. Useless PC!

Everything but the AC/DC sounds good...
However, until my family get their act together, burning their only PC would only lead to them using mine, which is not an option.

family laptop, remember?
I have FireFox on mine, but anything new would probably just confuse my parents. Although when they get a new computer I'll demand they use it.
Doesn't matter now anyway, I've fixed it.

If ur using Win98 then IE is gonna be like version 2.
Id say that would be causing a lot of problems. Apart from the expected shit because its a ancient computer.
