Damn it Arach, fix your avatar. Is it working for ANYONE else? It's been non-working for weeks now for me. For weeks, as in, since you upgraded your computer? If so, then i think... works for me, maybe cause its in the cache or something tho ... is probably spot on why we cant see it. Link is busted, but cause its still in his cache he still sees it. And yeah, its broken for me too.

Yeah, the place where it was hosted was my old webspace from my previous iinet account. When i moved i cancelled the account cause there was already internet at the place i was going to. I'm actually surprised that they kept the stuff on my webspace up for a few weeks after i had it cancelled.
Back to the Sli thing, I'm having stability problems, mainly when the computer starts up. You guessed it, my PSU isnt enough. For some reason I thought i had a 450 or even 500w psu.. but upon checking... its only 400.... so not enough for sli. I'm gonna have to get a new psu, hurrah. My fault completely.
Windows also coughed and farted upon enabling sli, so jsut as a thought, if any of you are thinking of getting sli, it might be a good idea to reformat at the same time.
For some reason also.. and hopefully unrelated. My system is picking up all my ram as 333. The stuff i had b4 was 400, and this new stuff is 400. (though i havent tested it on its own) But when i add them together the computer says they are only 333. There doesnt seem to be anything wrong in the bios...
Would be interesting to see if i can get an even higher benchmark if i got it all working at 400.

Well, im gonna get more ram. After seeing how much faster shays computer loads stuff, its making me mad.
Is 3 gig of ram overkill? ;D

Both 400 but run at 333. Are you running the same brand of ram?

same 'brand' yeah, but thats a bit loose. One gb is kingston and other is the cheaper version, kingmax.
4x512 sticks btw.

yeah they arent the same brand.. kingmax and kingston are different im sure you can force the memory to run at ddr400 speeds in the bios. Instead of set to auto you can set it to speed. Also if i was you arach id just overclock the second 6600gt to your extreme speeds. Im sure the new one you have has the same cooling as the 6600gt ee

Yeah the fans/heatsinks are exactly the same size/shape, in fact the two cards look exactly the same with size, layout etc, except that my original has an 'extreme' sticker =P
Kingston and kingmax are the same overall brand, but kingston is like pentium to kingmax's celeron =)
Also, it seems oblivion's stability is directly related to how well it runs. So if you have it running nice and smoothly (hint: sli =P ) then it will crash a _lot_ less =)

you can force the memory to run at ddr400 speeds in the bios. Instead of set to auto you can set it to speed. Pretty sure you cant on mine. Would have checked that out before.

it 'appears' that you can, but if you read it closely it doesnt say it forces to make the ram run at 400, but instead makes sure it runs at 400 maximum.... so it really jsut caps it.

Well, i got another gig of ram, and all is good. BF2 runs perfectly on full graphics now, whereas befoer it was very jumpy at times. My little ram meter says im usin 78% of my ram now, but before it was 100% so yeah, much better. Might crank up the resolution a bit further to really see what this puppy can do Tomorrow though, off to be now.

Goto your bios goto advanced goto cpu configuration dram frequency set to desired frequency should be 400mhz for your ram
if thats not in there then you need to upgrade your bios.. which you might need to do to support the ram properly anyways

I used the ASUS update tool to search for BIOS's and it found
1001 1003 1004 1005
So I was thinking of just putting 1005 on but it wont let me cause its an older version. It then says if u really want to, to flash the BIOS in DOS using AFUDOS. So I looked up the procedure for that and its impossible to understand!!

well you have a newer bios version so you dont want to use one of those have you actually gone to the asus website and looked there... cause its possible to download a new one from there and use the asus upater to update the bios from a file instead of from the internet.. thats wat i do but i just checked and your bios is the most up to date one.. there is a beta bios but forget that lol

Yeah but like you said when I go into it it looks nothing like the one in my manual. And I dont have any of those DRAM settings.
Ive figured out how to update it to v1005 but HOW THE HELL DO U GO INTO DOS WITH WINXP??!
