Oh whoops!
What I meant to say was I traveled in the vortex of thy doomkeeper this morning at 3am. And used my mighty sword of might to slay the beast and obtain 10 statistic points.

imo dont even bother with the 6400, i have seem them run and they are shit in comparison to my AMD 3500+, if you wanna go Dual core (which i also will be doing soon) i suggest the 6700 or higher.....

well i may have been proven wrong... my point wasnt that 6700 or higher is better than 6400....because obviosuly they are...but from what i had seen an older single core 3500+ ran better than a dual core 6400....but maybe it was only in certain situations or some other case...in any case i think the difference in price between the 6400 and 6700 is like a $100 or something at a swap.....

My CPU is still performing okay there. Better than halfway slightly... and over a year old. I'm happy with that.
Edit: I just changed the benchmark test to a few other ones (several actually) and my CPU performs FAR better in all the other tests! You clearly just chose the WORST one for AMD Alan...

The 6400 is a good processor. It would shit all over the 3500+ acid you fool be quiet now. lol
Yeah that system looks good alan. Get the Gigabyte DS3P though. Its better.
The 6400 overclock like a demon too even on stock cooling. It can clock to about 3ghz fairly easy from wat ive read and seen. The core2 stuff runs alot better than the amd dual cores.
They are close to releasing the 8600 series of nvidia cards so if you have the cash it might be worth waiting for one of those and getting a direct x 10 system.

Funny you say that cause I ended up with the DS3P cause thats the only one they had in stock. How is it better though than the DS3? Cause you can SLI? What a waste... Dont really want to overclock but do have a question you might be able to help with. When I installed the PC the CPU fan wouldnt spin properly when powered. It would stop and start all the time. So I tried plugging it into the FAN_SYS port instead of the FAN_CPU and it works fine. I dont really want to have to take it back cause its all good now but is there any risk running a CPU fan on another port? Otherwise its all running great now. Played some BF2 full graphics only on 1024 but it still was awesome. Should try cranking the res but I dont think the video card would handle it too well. na it wasnt anything wrong with the port.. id say the fan controller was set to quiet in the bios.. so it doesnt crank the fan speed until it gets hotter
umm the ds3p had solid capasitors so it should last longer... um its better layed out and i think it can do crossfire

yeah it would definately be that.. on my asus board when i first turn it on it barely spins.. maybe 800 - 1200 rpm.. and thats with a thing called Q Fan enabled.. but when i play games and it gets hotter it will then spin up faster to about 3000 - 4000 rpm
