Thanks to Val's hosting the Smorgy's adventure is alive and well!
SMORGYSSo as mentioned we went to Smorgy's, why you may ask? well... I cant really remember but it probably went something like this.
TeamSpeakShay: Went past that Smorgys place the other day.
Me: Oh yeah, its pretty disgusting.
Shay: Thats what everyone says!
Me: And with good reason.
*5min later
Brenton: Did someone say SMORGYS!!!!!
Shay: Err a while ago...
Brenton: We're going!
Shay: What? going where? to Smorgys? you cant be serious!?
Brenton: Im going to get ready.
(Brenton goes Away)
Shay: Umm I think we're going to Smorgys
Me: You mean you and brenton are going to Smorgys
Shay: NO! Please you have to go for the hilariousness and other stuff. Plus Ill credit you for winning the DreamTeam GF.
Me: Tempting, yeah ok.
WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!
So here we go...
We arrive at Smorgys, Brenton somehow 20min ahead of us when we all left at the same time (must have been super eager). Walk past the windows and comment on how there's no one inside and we are more than likely going to be the only customers they have. Good at first cause then there would be no wait for food, but only 10 seconds later we realised it would surely mean the food was most likely left over from lunch or just dirt piles in a tray. Im still deciding.
Inside! Walk past the abandoned cash register, onto the second one after waiting a few min for someone to notice that they had customers. Pay the outrageous cost of entry after questioning the 1 in front of the price. She assured me that they really do charge $16.95. So in we go.
First of all there was 4 of us so a jug was in order. At the bar and the same girl that we paid at the start was working there now.
Me: Hey, can I get a jug of coke?
Girl: Yeah, just so you know our gas machine isnt working so the soft drinks are all flat.
Me: Oh...
Girl: Dont worry we're not charging full price, just $4.40
Me: Oh thats ok then, i guess...
Girl: So yeah, instead of $6.40
Me: Huh? *flat drinks for $2 off, what a steal!* Ill come back.
On to the food. And thats all I can really say without repeatedly barfing onto my keyboard, put it this way, I felt sick for two days after. There was one who enjoyed his food, and I think you know who I mean. Here he is
and his 1st plate you ask? Well that was the first in a series of brenton plates consisting of 3 course meals on the 1 plate.
And like this plate, he hardly ever finished them
And then there was the alco Shay (Scruffy) who always gets so drunk at these things. Drinking only the finest of cocktails.
Back to the food! And the delicious food in that. So delicious it just couldnt be wasted in our inferior stomachs but rather squished between a pile of napkins. The plan was almost perfect until I needed a napkin at the end after spilling something (i cant remember) and they all had food squished between them!!!
It wouldnt be all you can eat unless you made some crazy combination of food, in this case Chocolate mouse... with a brownie!!! Hey it worked at Pizza Hut, but whats still confusing to me, the choc mouse was better, the brownie was better but put them together and you have pure spewness!!
We continued to eat and the desserts piled up.
And it wouldnt be a pile of dessert bowls without a king prawn riding them all in the face of certain danger.
Such a well trained prawn, the fact that he ending up in the boot of brenton's car is still a mystery to this day.
So thats pretty much the end of the photos, there were a few things that I left out. Like brenton being out eaten by that very prawn!!! He ate like 2 plates and only had about 15% of the food on those plates. Then he had 1 jelly and was full! What the hell!! He so had tea before hand, but he still disputes it.
